Good Laundry

Good Church
Flint, MI

In a community where nearly 4,000 residents lack access to affordable laundry services, Good Church decided to establish a low-cost laundromat. Using grant funds, the church renovated the lower level of its building to create Good Laundry. In addition to washing clothes, laundromat visitors can build relationships with volunteers trained in evangelism.

Refugee Employment

Salem Alliance Church
Salem, OR

Salem Alliance Church shares the love of Christ with refugees through programs designed to help them build resumes, get connected in the community, and secure long-term employment. The Kingdom Advancing Grant allowed the church to purchase additional curriculum for its English program and fund more apprentice wages for working refugees.

The Maker’s Center

Bible Center Church
Charleston, WV

To support people journeying toward addiction recovery, Bible Center Church created The Maker’s Center, where people can attend free skills and training classes. Grant funds supported a building renovation to allow The Maker’s Center to add food-handling certifications and cooking classes to its offerings.

Citipoint Church’s Foster Church ministry supports foster children, foster families, and local child protection agencies. The Kingdom Advancing Grant enabled Citipoint Church to expand its offerings for local foster families, including an independent living event for teens in the foster system and a local conference for foster parents.

Shalom Community Christian Church
Greensboro, NC

The Science, Math, Arts, Reading, and Technology (SMART) Academic & Enrichment Program launched by Shalom Community Christian Church supports underserved students in the local school system. Grant funds helped SMART leaders to secure bus vouchers for transportation and hire specialized staff for students with individualized education plans.

What if the idea of being “called” could be applied beyond pastoral positions? Grace Church reimagined the youth program model by connecting teens with local business leaders for spiritual discipleship to learn first-hand how they’ve been called to serve in the marketplace. The result – a greater understanding of where God works and who He wants to use.
